With a host of VW Connect services available to you, you can decide on full connectivity from the outset. Once you have completed the one-off activation process and signed in with your Volkswagen ID, it is incredibly easy to use our free, innovative online services.
VW Connect not only makes your everyday life with your Volkswagen more pleasant, but also more convenient. It allows you to access important vehicle information and offers valuable convenience with Breakdown Call or Service Scheduling.
In addition, the Volkswagen App for your smartphone provides you with important information about your Volkswagen at a glance even when out and about: for example, you can check whether all doors and windows are closed.
Stay on air
Thanks to Streaming & Internet,, you can enjoy your favourite music in your Polo. All of the advantages of the Internet Radio are on board with the Internet Radio service. This makes searching for and playing live channels and podcasts fun and easy. The integrated Wi-Fi hotspot also provides you and your passengers with an Internet connection and allows you to surf on up to eight devices.
Infotainment and entertainment for every occasion
For convenient use of apps and content, the optional App-Connectis ideal. Music, news, maps or audio books are transmitted to the display of the infotainment system and can therefore be used within your field of vision. Two interfaces are possible for connecting smartphones: Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. Wireless connection for the optional Discover Media and Discover Pro navigation systems as well as the optional Ready 2 Discover radio makes usage particularly convenient. You can also purchase and activate App-Connect at a later date via your vehicle’s In-Car Shop.

With its compact dimensions and fresh design highlights, the Polo exudes personality. Its most striking feature is the front design with optional LED light strip combined with IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights between the headlamps. On closer inspection, it’s not only the choice of colour that makes it stand out so prominently, but a whole range of features through which each of the three Polo Life, Polo Style, or Polo R-Line equipment lines come into their own. Examples include decorative chrome highlights and other optional features such as a colour-contrasting roof or fog lights.
Keeps you in lane. And keeps others at a distance.
The optional Travel Assist function provides you with an extremely useful driving assistant on board. It can keep you in your lane, maintain a minimum distance to the vehicle in front and the maximum speed you have set. Among other things, it uses adaptive lane guidance to do this. This actively keeps the vehicle in the middle of the lane. Travel Assist adapts to your driving style and can also drive further to the left or right in its own lane instead of exactly in the middle. In combination with a navigation system, Travel Assist is extended by predictive cruise control and cornering assistance. This means that Travel Assist can adapt the vehicle’s speed to the relevant speed limits and the road layout (bends, roundabouts etc.).

The Polo already excites with a wide variety of equipment highlights as standard such as the driver-friendly Digital Cockpit, refreshingly cool air conditioning system and Composition radio with DAB+ digital radio reception and mobile phone interface. In addition, the Digital Cockpit Pro with customised settings, the Air Care Climatronic air conditioning system with intuitive touch button controls or background lighting are available as standard or as options depending on the equipment line.
