The ID.3 is Volkswagen’s all-electric answer to modern mobility. With its impressive range and charging capacity, this car is designed to make your everyday commute both sustainable and enjoyable.
Details of the ID.3
Compact. Class.
The ID.3 impresses with its classic, compact design and sporty silhouette. The long wheelbase and short overhangs not only enable a spacious interior, they also make the vehicle especially manoeuvrable – ideal for driving in the city. The full-width bumper, the extended wheel housings and the two-colour design with black roof and tailgate emphasise, together with the two-part rear light cluster, the striking lines in the body construction. The aerodynamically-shaped air intake grilles at the front can also improve the range. With the optional fixture for attaching a bicycle carrier and up to 75 kg drawbar load, the ID.3 is set up to transport e-bikes.

• The Exterior Package offers additional lighting elements for even more expression, convenience and safety: IQ.LIGHT – LED matrix headlights light up your way using the dynamic main-beam control without blinding oncoming traffic, 3D LED tail light clusters with dynamic turn signals and light strips between the headlights. Tinted rear and side windows round off the overall look.
There is an optional panoramic glass sunroof covering almost the entire width of the roof. The tinted glass keeps temperatures pleasant when the sun is out. For more shade, you can also use voice control to deploy the sun blid.
Lots of space for experiences
The ID.3 offers plenty of space for up to five people and numerous practical functions, such as its foldable, asymmetrically divided rear bench seat with centre armrest and a through-loading option. Many parts of the spacious, expansive interior, with its contrasting decorative stitching, is made of soft surfaces and high-quality, recycled materials (headliner, floor mats, seat covers and door panels). Additional convenience is provided by the 32.8-cm (12.9-inch) touch display and a multifunction steering wheel with touch controls and vibration feedback. The lighting mood can also be adjusted to your preferences with the ambient lighting in 10 colours (30 optionally).

• The Interior Package with ergoActive front seats (heated, with adjustable lumbar supports and massage function), 30-colour ambient lighting, “ArtVelours Eco” microfleece seat centre panels and augmented reality head-up display (projects important information directly into the field of vision).
• The Interior Package Plus, incl. sports seats, complements the interior package with top-of-the-range sports seats – in ID. design and with integrated head restraints.
Connected Travel Assist
The optional Connected Travel Assist actively helps you to stay in lane. In addition, it helps you to maintain a previously set maximum speed and minimum distance to the vehicle in front.
Connected Travel Assist can also actively assist you when changing lanes on the motorway. To do this, your Volkswagen must be equipped with Park Assist and Side Assist.
You also benefit from predictive cruise control and cornering assistance, meaning your vehicle can react to upcoming bends and roundabouts and adapt its speed to the current traffic rules. For a more relaxed journey.
The online data comprises the experiences of hundreds of thousands of Volkswagen drivers in anonymised form. If this online data is available, Connected Travel Assist can stay in lane even without lane separators and better adjust the vehicle’s speed to the road layout. This makes assisted driving feel more natural.
Connected Travel Assist requires an active internet connection in order to use this online data, requiring a separate contract, a Volkswagen ID user account and a VW Connect contract. Activation takes place simply via the infotainment system shop (see: Swarm data for Travel Assist).
Connectivity
Connected to your mobile apps
Streaming music, making phone calls or accessing navigation functions – with App-Connect you can use selected mobile phone apps directly and easily via the vehicle display, and also wirelessly on request.
How about an upgrade?
Many functions can also be activated as an upgrade at a later date (from the ID. Software 3.0 after leaving the factory) – e.g. the navigation for the “Ready 2 Discover” infotainment package, the “Light Assist” main-beam assistant, the automatic distance control ACC or the ambient lighting (multi-coloured) with 30 colours.

Comfort and entertainment at the press of a button
In the In-Car shop you can download a variety of free apps: e.g. games for entertainment while charging or Spotify for podcasts and playlists on the go. Without additional data costs – Volkswagen takes care of that for you.
